Terms of Service
Last updated 8 September 2026
These Terms set out the basis on which Conduit.Africa coordinates business, people, finance and operational services in Mozambique on your behalf. Full terms specific to an individual service are confirmed with you before payment is taken.
1. Acceptance of these terms
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the Conduit.Africa website and the services facilitated through it. By using this site, submitting a request, or paying for a service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to them, please do not use the site or engage Conduit.Africa’s services. Where you use the site on behalf of a company or other entity, you confirm you have authority to bind that entity to these Terms.
2. What Conduit.Africa is, and is not
Conduit.Africa coordinates the execution of business, immigration, financial and logistics-related services in Mozambique on behalf of clients. It does this by scoping each requirement, engaging the appropriately licensed or regulated third-party provider the requirement depends on, and managing that relationship through to completion on the client’s behalf.
Conduit.Africa is not a bank, law firm, accounting practice, immigration authority, notary, customs broker, or financial institution, and does not hold itself out as one. Where a service requires activity that only a licensed or regulated provider may lawfully perform (including but not limited to banking, legal advice, statutory accounting, notarial acts, or immigration decisions), that activity is carried out by the relevant independent third party, not by Conduit.Africa, and is subject to that third party’s own terms, professional judgment, and regulatory obligations.
3. How services are provided
Depending on the service, engagement follows one of these paths:
- Fixed-price checkout: the price shown is payable upfront, and Conduit.Africa begins work once payment is confirmed.
- Quote-based services: Conduit.Africa scopes the requirement and provides a price before any commitment is required.
- Applications and enquiries (for example, banking or foreign exchange): Conduit.Africa coordinates the process with the relevant provider; approval and final terms rest with that provider, not Conduit.Africa.
- Requests for quotation (procurement and freight): Conduit.Africa sources and returns a quote specific to the request before any order is placed.
Estimated turnaround times shown on the site are indicative and depend on factors outside Conduit.Africa’s control, including third-party and government processing times.
4. Pricing and payment
Prices may be displayed in Mozambican Metical (MZN), US Dollars (USD) or South African Rand (ZAR) for your convenience; the amount actually charged is processed in the service’s base currency, and displayed figures in other currencies are indicative and may vary slightly from the amount charged due to exchange-rate movement. Each service’s listed price reflects a specific pricing status:
- Confirmed: the full price, including known government or statutory charges, is fixed.
- Estimate: Conduit.Africa’s service fee is fixed; government or third-party charges not yet known are payable separately, as and when they apply, and will be confirmed before you are liable for them.
- Quote only: no price is charged until Conduit.Africa has scoped your specific requirement and you have accepted the resulting quote.
Payments are processed by PayFast, an independent, PCI-compliant payment processor. Conduit.Africa does not receive or store your card details. Your payment is also subject to PayFast’s own terms of service.
5. Your responsibilities
To enable Conduit.Africa to deliver a service, you agree to:
- Provide accurate, complete and current information when requested;
- Provide supporting documents within a reasonable time of being asked, recognising that delay in doing so will delay the service;
- Ensure you have the legal right to submit any information or documents you provide, including in relation to third parties named in them; and
- Comply with your own legal, tax and regulatory obligations independently of any service Conduit.Africa coordinates on your behalf.
Conduit.Africa is not liable for delay, additional cost, or an unsuccessful outcome caused by inaccurate, incomplete, or late information or documents provided by you.
6. Third-party providers
Banks, accountants, immigration specialists, legal practitioners, notaries, customs agents and logistics providers engaged through Conduit.Africa act as independent professionals or entities, not as Conduit.Africa’s agents or employees. Their decisions (including approval, rejection, timing, and the advice or work product they provide) are their own and are governed by their own applicable licensing, professional and regulatory obligations. Conduit.Africa selects and coordinates these providers with reasonable care, but does not guarantee any outcome, decision, or timeline that rests with a third party.
7. No professional advice
Nothing provided by Conduit.Africa constitutes legal, tax, financial, immigration or other professional advice. Where a requirement calls for advice of that kind, Conduit.Africa coordinates access to an appropriately qualified independent provider, who is responsible for that advice. Conduit.Africa’s own role is limited to scoping, coordination, and administrative execution of the services described on this site.
8. Cancellations, refunds and changes in scope
You may request cancellation of a service before Conduit.Africa or a third-party provider has begun substantive work on it, in which case any amount paid, less any cost already reasonably incurred on your behalf, will be refunded. Once substantive work has begun, fees already earned for work performed and any third-party or government charges already incurred are non-refundable. If, once work has started, the actual scope of a requirement differs materially from what was originally quoted or described, Conduit.Africa will inform you and agree revised pricing or scope with you before continuing.
9. Confidentiality and data protection
Information and documents you provide are used only to scope, quote and deliver the service requested, and are shared only with the specific third-party providers a given requirement depends on. Full detail on what is collected and how it is used is set out in the Privacy Policy, which forms part of these Terms.
10. Intellectual property
The Conduit.Africa name, logo, site design and content are the property of Conduit.Africa or its licensors and may not be copied, reproduced or used without prior written consent, other than for your own personal or internal business use in connection with the services you have engaged.
11. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Conduit.Africa’s total liability arising out of or in connection with a service is limited to the fees you paid to Conduit.Africa for that specific service. Conduit.Africa is not liable for indirect, consequential, or special loss, or for any act, omission, decision or delay of an independent third-party provider. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited under the laws of Mozambique.
12. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify Conduit.Africa against any claim, loss or cost arising from inaccurate or misleading information you provide, your breach of these Terms, or your breach of applicable law in connection with a service.
13. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of Mozambique. Any dispute arising out of or in connection with these Terms or a service will first be raised directly with Conduit.Africa in writing so it can be addressed in good faith; unresolved disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Mozambique.
14. Changes to these terms
Conduit.Africa may update these Terms from time to time, with the current version always available on this page. Changes apply to services engaged after the update date; a service already in progress remains governed by the Terms in effect when it was engaged, unless you agree otherwise.
